7 August 2017 – My very good and wonderful friend Hu Qing was asked to choose a special restaurant that Mary and I could treat her to. Hu Qing was one of my models in the very beginning of my teaching the spring term portraiture class. We became very good friends. We spent much time together going places, taking meals at many restaurants and generally hanging out. She is an English teacher and her language skills and knowledge of the city of Jinan (she is from Jinan) was invaluable to me. Here we all are having hot pot a a very famous hot pot restaurant. A very long and nearly arduous meal, but excellent!
