Photo #13 – One final handshake with Professor Wang – a really wonderful guy. I hope to see him again. So, I was told that all these people and specially placed objects at the colony including the Director, the Chief of Traffic Police, the Chef and the Paparazzi, yes, there was a Paparazzi of sorts, and the red ribbon were so happy to have me visit.

So, the reason for all this excitement was (seriously, my heart wells up when I think of how sweet these people are)… all the excitement was because I was the first American (Professor / Artist) to visit their artist colony since its inception 15 years ago. They were so proud of their art establishment, as well they should be, as they worked so very hard to bring it to fruition, and they were so proud to have me there to visit and share it with. I am, I was truly, truly honored and privileged. There is a very special unassuming, genuine, almost naive sense of love, compassion, and passion that transcends national borders, oceans and continents, time and place that these ancient people still manage to maintain and allow others to experience. The L-rd has given me this honor and privilege. Thank you.
