And finally, this the private room we ate in. Every meal in China is served what they refer to as family style. There is a very large glass ‘lazy-susan’ in the middle of the table and it’s just pass it around and around and…… An etiquette of note: the Chinese do a lot of toasting at a meal. And it is customary that when you clink glasses, the younger attendees always make sure that the rim of their glass is lower than the rim of the oldest attendees glass rim. Yeah, you guessed it – my glass rim was always the higher than anyone else’s during a toast! Oh well……..
