Wow! So much has happened it a very short period of time! This past Sunday evening I was invited to an incredible dinner (I think feast is much more accurate) by my former student’s parents. Jiani Su was my former student at Nazareth College. She also is a wonderful friend of my family and my former curriculum translator. Her parents Su Jun and Wu Lifeng are both teachers in Jinan. Jiani and her parents live in Jinan, of course where I temporally reside now. Here are pics of our incredible evening. Jiani’s parents are just as fantastic as their daughter Jiani. Wonderful people.
We were also accompanied by an excellent interpreter from Shandong Normal University where Su Jun is professor and librarian. She is a volunteer at the library. Her name is Wuyin Yan Shou or Della, her English name. Excellent command of English and translating.
What a long strange trip to have dinner with a former student’s parents…….Amazing Stuff!
