Before the teaching started late morning on Monday, the 27th of March. There was this ritual / swearing in / inauguration of sorts of this new, creepy, old Visiting Professor from the USA. Here I am (along with a huge bouquet of flowers no less) more than slightly embarrassed delivering a short speech stating thanks and my objectives for my students and myself. The young fellow seated on my right is my interpreter / assistant and also the son of the Dean of the School of Fine Arts, Dean Zhang Chun. Sitting next to me to my left is the President of Shandong University of Arts President Wang Li Ke; along with the Dean of the School of Fine Arts and other Administration and Faculty personnel.
What a long strange trip to hold a bouquet of flowers!…….Amazing Stuff!
