So, after a two hour lunch and as usual the food just keeps on coming into the private room – it really is amazing! One just eats until you ‘hit the wall’! An expression I’ve taught a Chinese host!
So, after lunch we visit the old town it is called. It is nestled in the hills outside the ‘new town’ – Zhangqiu. I’ll show you a few pictures of the old town in minute, but first I was invited to view some of Wang Zhen’s sculpture that he did for the small museums sprinkled in and around the old town. I was told he made his mark with this commissioned work and became rather well-to-do because of it.
