Very near Luleå, is a village called Gammelstad. It possesses a National Heritage site of a Lutheran Church built in the 1600’s. It is quite spectacular! And surrounding the church are approximately 400 cabins or cottages. During the early days, participants traveled long distances to attend Sunday service. Many would arrive on the Saturday before and stay overnight to attend the following day. That’s what the second photo is…
