Saturday, April 29th, 2017 – Picture #13 – then of course, there’s our Hot Pot lunch. The copper vessels are heated from an electric circular cooktop that has, in this case, a tomato broth or soup. Vegetables, noodles, tofu, lamb, beef, pork slices, potato and bean noodles, among other things are placed in your individual hot pot – the choice is up to you. Each item then cooked for a particular time (not rocket science) until done, dipped in a variety of sauces and eaten until you basically can’t move very well. It’s one of my favorite Chinese dishes or methods of cooking – of course, served ‘family style’ – grab whatever you want or not want and eat until your stomach’s content!
